Central Document Access was designed based on initial feedback, interviews and qualitative feedback from employee users. I pushed the boundaries of current WFRIA3 design system and provided custom solutions to meet user needs. I also worked in unison with design system team to introduce new components geared for enterprise software.
Problems solved
- Allowed for user customizable views for search and search results.
- Improved experience for advanced search panels.
- Confusing flows for user request submission (split, merge, upload, data update).
- Discovery and design work for a new collaborative space for risk reduction and built in security.
Solutions
- Designed a left slide in panel for search field to allow for more screen space.
- Designed new components and patterns for advanced filtering.
- Designed unified and simpler flows for various types of user requests with tracking dashboard.
- Designed user settings panels for custom views.
- Introduced “power user” context menus and made proposal for addition to our design system.
